HEMS provides a swift, scalable, and life-saving solution. At BARS, our helicopters are not mere vehicles — they are flying ICUs, equipped and staffed to stabilize patients en route, bypassing logistical delays that could cost lives.

Our helicopter teams are stationed near high-risk and high-demand regions. We can launch within 10 minutes and reach most activation points in 20–40 minutes, depending on location and ATC clearance.
Each helicopter includes advanced ventilators and defibrillators, multi-parameter monitors, emergency drug kits and infusion pumps, neonatal/pediatric modules, and isolation capsules for infectious disease transport.
Every HEMS mission includes an experienced emergency physician or critical care specialist, a flight nurse or paramedic trained in ACLS, PHTLS, and aviation survival, and medical crew trained in high-altitude operations and aeromedical evacuations.
Our 24/7 Command & Control Center ensures seamless ATC coordination, GPS tracking of missions, communication with receiving hospitals, patient and family updates, and ground support for landing and reloading.
India faces over 1.5 lakh road traffic deaths annually. Many victims succumb due to delayed hospital arrival. BARS can land on highways, helipads, or open fields to provide golden-hour trauma care.
From tribal belts in central India to Himalayan villages, our helicopters reach places inaccessible by road. Patients can be evacuated within minutes from the most remote corners of the country.
During floods, earthquakes, and landslides, HEMS becomes the most effective rescue tool. We work closely with state disaster response teams, NDRF, and NGOs to ensure rapid aerial evacuation.
We assist in organ transport by providing fast, reliable inter-hospital airlift. Organs can now reach transplant centers across cities in under 90 minutes with BARS-managed green corridor logistics.
We deploy HEMS units at high-risk mass gatherings: religious pilgrimages (e.g., Kumbh Mela, Amarnath Yatra), sporting events and rallies, and industrial zones and high-rise fire risk zones.

Pune, being a growing metro with a large healthcare ecosystem and frequent intercity transfers, serves as a critical hub. The western coast of Maharashtra, known for difficult terrain and seasonal inaccessibility, is being mapped for helipad and emergency LZ (landing zone) development.
By 2026, BARS aims to operate 30+ helipads, 50+ satellite support bases, and integrated referral links with major hospitals and airports.

August 2024, Nagpur District: After a gas explosion in a remote factory, 5 patients suffered critical burns and trauma. No road ambulance could reach within an hour. Within 28 minutes, BARS HEMS was airborne, reached the site, stabilized the victim's mid-air, and handed them over to a tertiary burn unit. All survived.
